Hello everybody! Hope you are doing good. A few minutes ago, I was, as usually, sitting quiet, mingled with my thoughts, and noticed something really..uhm..you might say obvious, but it is something really important too.
They say, "Don't judge a book by its cover", but does it really count? Like readers on writing platforms like Pratilipi or Watpadd are more attracted to a book having cover page than the ones which don't have a cover.
Even somewhat bright or say appealing coverpage is what attracts new readers, because apps show a small image of our coverpage while recommending our book on its pages and recommendations to new readers, which must subconsciously ask them to tap on our book and read it.
Well, I have beautiful covers for all my books, and they are attractive too, but none of my readers ever commented on them, so I think, after tapping on a beautifully crafter coverpage, story inside plays more important role.
I focused on the literal meaning than the actual learning behind this statement, and concluded that people do judge books by their covers as covers makes the first impression but the content inside is way more important and needed to be beautified equally.
