 WHY DOES CM PUNK HATE COLT CABANA?

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), a package full of action and thrill, from sports & entertainment to the source of table gossip and valuable yet geeky memes, here we can find everything. From sisters (Bellas), brothers (USOs), families (Mysterios), friends to rivals, we get everything just on a single platform. No doubt, WWE is loved by all age groups around the globe and has got more than 95,700,000 subscribers1 at its official youtube channel. 

Not only Avengers-Thanos or Vladimir-Zelenskyy, but there are many other rivalries too, that are worth-mentioning, at the least for those who are crazy fans of WWE and you are one of them, right? The rivalry rather a 'friendship turned rivalry' relationship of CM Punk and Colt Cabana came to limelight in 2014 , which eventually led CM Punk to quit WWE. These two WWE stars started all the way from Chicago in 19992 and after facing so many ups and downs in professional and personal life both, are together now, NO! not together like friends or colleagues but just as employees..employees working under the same banner promotion, All Elite Wrestling (AEW). If graphing the relationship of these two AEW wrestlers, the key stages would be - Royal Rumble 2014..Dr. Amann..podcast..WWE Vs Punk & Cabana then Punk Vs Cabana then finally, in the present year PIZZA!

Both Punk and Cabana got professional wrestling training from the same coaches (Ace Steel, Danny Dominion, Kevin Quinn)3 together in 1999 and then in consecutive years, they both appeared in more than 30 matches (15 as Tag-team)4 and won many. It was January 2014 when Punk left WWE after the 2014 Royal Rumble, insulted HHH in Vince McMohan's office out of frustration. He, in the Cabana's podcast, The Art of Wrestling (October 16, 2014), stated that mistreatment, bad bookings for main event Wrestlemania, injuries and fractures being the reasons for leaving WWE along with adding the post-treatment by WWE, towards its wrestlers. Things got heated up in February 2015, when Dr. Chris Amann, filed a defamation case against both Punk and Cabana, as Punk stated the fact that he would have died if his Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) staph infection would have been taken care of by Dr. Amann and Cabana being the podcaster. Cause WWE physician wasn't able to convince the jurors that Punk tried to defame him, the lost and this got a lot of attention, once the post event came to scene i.e. Caban Vs Punk.

As the records of both the wrestlers' show for Punk being better than Cabana in his career and status, he earlier agreed to pay WWE's fees for Cabana also but later denied and asked for $250,000 from him, the lawsuits began as both Cabana and Punk sued each other one after the other because of money matters. By September, the dispute dissolved and both Punk and Cabana never appeared together. In February 2020, Cabana signed to AEW and in 2021, Punk also signed to AEW. There was no special news regarding them after the case. It was in All Out 2022 press conference when Punk mocked at Cabana for having a bank account shared with his mother and the latest was in the present year, 2023 when Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio revealed that Punk was angry at Cabana because he went with Neville, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for having a 'pizza'5 which was truly unexpectable. 

At present, both the AEW stars are stable in their career. Well said, the best enemy can be your best friend, and so is their case. Time heals everything, maybe in the future both these stars appear together again as friends or partners or it might be possible for this cold war to continue.
